I write about film, fashion, girls, various forms of nostalgia, stuff that’s almost (but not quite) cheesy, etc. I live in New York and have a BA in Cinema Studies and Literature from SUNY Purchase and a MS in Library Science from Pratt. I write the “Costume Party” column for Nylon and regularly review films for The Village Voice. My writing can also be found in Playboy, Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, Sight & Sound, and other places. An anagram of my name is Babe Be Nerdy, and my favorite colored pencil is Hollywood Cerise.
